Our music ministry at Fort Worth Presbyterian seeks to aid the people of God to obey Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (ESV).
Our music team helps lead the music portion of our worship service. We regularly use piano, guitar, bass, and percussion, as well as vocalists and other instruments. We hope to lead and support the gathered people of God in proclaiming the good news in music and song.
If you are interested in being a part of the music team, please contact Jacob Tilton.
Our adult choir is another way we hope to encourage one another in worship. It is not essential for choir members to be formally trained or be able to read music.
We sing throughout the year but mostly in the seasons of Christmas, where we have our annual Lessons and Carols service, and also Easter. We usually rehearse two times per month during the school year. If you are interested in joining the choir, please contact Jacob Tilton.
We try to teach our children that they too are an important part of the church and can be a blessing by lifting their voices in song. The children’s choir meets on the nights of small group meetings, twice a month. They participate in our Lessons and Carols service and also throughout the year.
